Kick-Off Meeting of the ECLIPSE Project
ECLIPSE Project officially launched with a successful Kick-Off meeting held on September 25th and 26th, 2024, in the vibrant city of Valencia. This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting 2-year journey aimed at transforming energy consumption across Europe through innovation and collaboration.
A Strong Start with 23 Partners
The Kick-Off brought together representatives from the 23 partners of the ECLIPSE consortium, including industry leaders, research institutions, energy associations, and innovative technology firms. This diverse collaboration is united by a common goal: implementing and demonstrating the Common European Reference Framework (CERF) for energy consumer applications.
Key Discussions and Objectives
Over two days of productive sessions, the consortium:
- Presented and refined work plans for each of the project’s work packages.
- Explored innovative ideas for empowering citizens with digital tools to optimize energy consumption.
- Strategized on pilot site implementations across 13 EU countries, encompassing 16 unique locations.
These discussions laid the groundwork for achieving ECLIPSE’s mission: to enable smarter energy use, enhance grid stability, and support sustainability.
Looking Ahead
The Kick-Off meeting was just the beginning. With a roadmap in place and the commitment of all partners, the ECLIPSE Project is set to deliver impactful results that will shape Europe’s energy landscape for years to come.
