ECLIPSE General Assembly: A Collaborative Step Forward

On March 26th and 27th, the ECLIPSE consortium gathered for its General Assembly, an essential meeting to review progress, exchange ideas, and align strategies for the next phases of the project. Hosted by our partners from VOLTALIS and TRIALOG, the two-day event served as a crucial touchpoint for discussing key developments and future priorities.

Strengthening Coordination and Collaboration

The meeting kicked off with a warm welcome and agenda overview by Lola Alacreu, ECLIPSE Project Coordinator from ETRA I+D. The consortium revisited the project’s management structure, highlighting the importance of periodic reporting and internal review processes to ensure efficient coordination. A clear action plan was outlined, emphasizing the need for active participation in upcoming meetings and deliverable submissions.

Advancing Dissemination and Exploitation

A significant focus was placed on dissemination, communication, and exploitation activities. The team shared updates on the project’s growing online presence, including website traffic, social media engagement, and planned outreach initiatives. Looking ahead, the consortium is gearing up for its participation in ENLIT Europe 2025, a major opportunity to showcase ECLIPSE’s achievements. Additionally, the submission of the “Individual Exploitation Strategies” deliverable marked a milestone in defining the commercialization and sustainability pathways for project outcomes.

Technical Discussions and Future Outlook

Throughout the General Assembly, work package leaders provided insights into progress across different technical areas, from defining project use cases and energy services to developing an open-source framework for consumer energy applications. Interactive discussions encouraged knowledge-sharing and alignment among partners, ensuring that each work stream progresses effectively towards the project’s ambitious goals.

Pilot sites also played a key role in the discussions, with a particular emphasis on integration and deployment activities. Engaging end-users remains a top priority, and strategies were explored to enhance stakeholder participation and optimize real-world implementation of ECLIPSE solutions.

Next Steps: Looking Towards a Sustainable Impact

As the consortium moves forward, upcoming milestones include refining the technical architecture, expanding stakeholder engagement, and ensuring that all partners actively contribute to dissemination efforts. The next meetings will provide an opportunity to assess ongoing progress, and will serve as a key moment to further consolidate developments.

The ECLIPSE General Assembly once again demonstrated the power of collaboration in driving the project forward. By fostering innovation and maintaining a strong commitment to shared goals, the consortium is well-positioned to make a lasting impact on Europe’s energy transition.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue working towards a more sustainable and efficient energy future!
