On 3 February 2026, partners from the Greek pilot led by METLEN, through its energy brand Protergia, organised a dedicated workshop in Aspra Spitia. The event brought together around 20 participants, including pilot users and key local stakeholders, to explore how digital tools can support more efficient and transparent energy use.
Presenting ECLIPSE in a real-life pilot environment
The workshop provided an opportunity to present the ECLIPSE project within the context of real-world deployment. Participants were introduced to the project’s objectives, with a particular focus on how digital solutions can support both households and businesses in managing their energy consumption more effectively.
The session also highlighted how ECLIPSE contributes to the development of interoperable energy applications through the Common European Reference Framework (CERF), helping to connect innovative tools with existing energy services.
Linking innovation with market-ready solutions
As part of the event, Protergia presented its portfolio of energy solutions for residential and business users, alongside its involvement in European research and innovation projects. This combined approach helped to clearly illustrate how market-ready services and emerging digital platforms can complement each other.
Participants were able to better understand how tools like the ECLIPSE platform can enhance existing services by improving access to data, increasing transparency, and supporting more informed energy decisions.
Encouraging dialogue and gathering user feedback
A key element of the workshop was the open discussion with attendees. Participants shared their experiences and expectations regarding digital energy tools, providing valuable feedback for the ongoing development of the ECLIPSE platform.
The discussion highlighted the importance of reliable and transparent solutions, user-friendly interfaces, and clear benefits for end users, as essential factors for increasing engagement and trust in digital energy services.
Strengthening engagement in the Greek pilot
The workshop successfully raised awareness of ECLIPSE among local users and stakeholders, while reinforcing the project’s commitment to placing citizens at the centre of the energy transition.
By combining technical innovation with direct user interaction, initiatives like this help ensure that ECLIPSE solutions are not only technically sound, but also aligned with real user needs and expectations.
