ECLIPSE Holds Its Second General Assembly Online to Advance Key Project Milestones
On 18 June 2025, the ECLIPSE consortium convened online for its Second General Assembly, bringing together all project partners to share progress, address challenges, and define next steps in shaping the future of digital energy in Europe.
Collaborative Planning and Strategic Updates
The session opened with key updates from WP1 on project management, including a reminder of the next in-person General Assembly, which will take place in Lisbon on 22–23 October 2025, with RD NESTER and E-REDES preparing a local visit. Planning is also underway for the WP6 kick-off in September, which will focus on user satisfaction and the regulatory framework, and the closing of Reporting Period 1 scheduled for end of November 2025.
Technical Progress and Deliverables
Key work packages presented their advancements:
- WP2 (Use cases and services): The deliverable D2.2 is nearing completion, with final reviews ongoing. Partners are actively contributing to the refinement of use cases and integration of NILM (Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring) functionality.
- WP3 (Architecture and data sets): The specification phase is wrapping up, and the implementation phase is now beginning. Interoperability profiles and privacy/security analyses are ongoing.
- WP4 (Development of CERF and APIs): ETRA presented the current status of the development work and shared a key highlight of the meeting: a live demonstration of the first version of the ECLIPSE user app prototype.

Discover the App Demo
As part of WP4, partners were able to view for the first time the interactive prototype of the ECLIPSE energy monitoring app. This milestone showcases the project’s commitment to empowering users with real-time insights and intuitive tools for smarter energy consumption.

Pilot Progress and Deployment Planning
WP5 provided a recap of pilot integration and stakeholder engagement efforts. With questionnaires consolidated and the first outlines of the deployment plan in motion, the partners are preparing to move into implementation across pilot sites.
Communication and Dissemination Highlights
The WP7 team shared encouraging KPIs:
- 2,400+ website views.
- 284 LinkedIn followers and over 32,000 impressions.
- 286 survey responses for the energy monitoring app campaign.
Upcoming efforts include the launch of the second project newsletter, preparations for ECLIPSE’s next press release, and new video content showcasing pilot sites and app functionalities. In addition, ETRA successfully represented the project at EUSEW 2025, further strengthening visibility.
Looking Ahead
As the second half of the year unfolds, the focus will be on:
- Finalizing and submitting WP2 and WP4 deliverables.
