Trialog Showcases ECLIPSE Architecture Insights at the int:net Final Conference
On 18 September 2025, the int:net project celebrated its Final Conference in Brussels (Belgium), bringing together experts from across Europe to present and discuss the outcomes of this EU-funded initiative. The event, held under the inspiring motto by Goethe “It is not enough to know, you also have to apply. It is not enough to want, one must also act”, focused on turning knowledge and methodologies into practical tools for energy interoperability.
Sharing expertise on interoperability and architectures
Representing the ECLIPSE project, Trialog took part in the session “From interoperability standards to interoperability profiles”, where Diana Jimenez and Antonio Kung presented insights on architectures, models, and governance. Their contribution highlighted how ECLIPSE is designing an innovative architecture that leverages Energy Data Spaces (EDS) to connect consumers, grid operators, and energy service providers in a secure, interoperable framework.
By focusing on interoperability standards and their translation into concrete profiles, Trialog demonstrated how ECLIPSE is aligned with the broader EU vision of creating a Common European Energy Data Space (CEEDS). This approach ensures that technical solutions are not only functional but also trusted, replicable, and compatible across borders.

Positive reception from DSOs
One of the key takeaways from Trialog’s participation was the strong interest expressed by Distribution System Operators (DSOs) present at the conference. Participants acknowledged the relevance of integrating DSOs into energy data spaces and welcomed the synergies between ECLIPSE, EU DSOs, and the CEEDS initiative. This feedback underlined the value of ECLIPSE’s work in bridging innovation and operational needs at the grid level.
The int:net legacy and ECLIPSE’s role
The int:net conference also introduced a range of practical tools, such as the IOP Compass for capacity building and the Interoperability People and Projects Connector (IntPPC), which will continue to foster collaboration among experts in energy interoperability. These initiatives resonate with ECLIPSE’s mission, as both projects aim to establish a stronger and more harmonised digital framework for Europe’s energy transition.
For Trialog and the ECLIPSE consortium, participating in the int:net Final Conference was not only an opportunity to present project progress but also to engage with stakeholders shaping the future of energy system interoperability.
To complement the presentation, the slides shared by Trialog during the session “From interoperability standards to interoperability profiles” are now available for download. These materials provide further insights into the architectural models and governance aspects discussed at the conference, offering a deeper look into how ECLIPSE contributes to the development of future European Energy Data Spaces.
