ECLIPSE DIGITAL Brochure – Beyond the Dashboard: Activating the Digital Energy Citizen
The ECLIPSE DIGITAL Project’s Work Package 2 focuses on bridging the “Interoperability Gap” currently hindering the European digital energy market. Following a comprehensive Landscape Analysis of over 50 applications across 17 EU countries, the research identified a critical lack of real-time grid interaction and standardized procedures among existing market offerings, which often operate as isolated national “silos”.
To address these fragments, the project implements the Common European Reference Framework (CERF), a unified blueprint designed to empower citizens through real-time, actionable data. This collaborative effort has defined 56 innovative Use Cases—ranging from energy invoice reduction and carbon footprint awareness to smart EV charging—enabling households to transition from passive consumers to active partners in a resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem.
